Mr. Zaidi is a partner at Abdullah & Hussain and is heading the Corporate Practice. He specializes in merger, acquisition and joint venture deals and commercial & financial restructuring. Mr. Zaidi concentrates on advising companies and corporate directors in distressed situations to ensure smooth transitions. He has broad experience in complex, multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions throughout South East Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He counsels and represents clients on a wide variety of litigation, advisory and transactional matters from the banking and financial institutions, telecommunications, hospitality, information technology, and construction and real estate sector.
Mr. Zaidi began his career as a lawyer in 2001 and has been working on M&A deals and restructuring since 2007.

His work at Dhabi Holdings and Warid Telecom International LLC has been of particular importance in this regard. In addition to this, Mr. Zaidi’s earlier experience at Warid Telecom International LLC, helped him achieve outstanding skills in drafting and finalizing a variety of agreements, including implementation and Supply agreements, Information Technology agreements, Loan Agreements, Data clearing and financial clearing agreements, International Roaming agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Consultancy agreements, Software license agreements, Agreements for Telecommunication Banking Services.
Mr. Zaidi worked at Bhandari, Naqvi and Riaz, Lahore as a Senior Associate from May 2002 – November 2005. He was involved in many landmark Constitutional cases which included the case against the establishment of University of Health Sciences. In addition to this he also worked on complex international arbitration issues which included Ghazi Barotha, Muzafargarh Gatti and Baglihar Dam.
Mr. Zaidi has also worked as a Lecturer of the law of the European Union, University of London (External Programme) at University College Lahore from September 2000 to May 2011. He has also delivered lectures at Pak Aims School of Law and the Institute of Legal Studies (TILS) on different topics relating to the law of European Union and the law of Tort.
